Handmade Fused Glass Hangings
These beautiful glass Christmas decorations are handmade in Dorset.
Mini Christmas Trees - 8cm high (just over 3"), they are translucent letting the light through apart from the white one which is opaque creating a contrast. Texture is applied to the back of the trees creating shadows on the front, as you can see on the pictures.
We have a choice of 6 colours and each has a white ribbon going through the loop at the top. They weigh 35g each and come in a white/cream/transparent organza bag.
Turquoise Snowflake Sun Catchers - 12cm diameter. This hanging / suncatcher glass panel illustrates a snowflake using low relief. The suncatcher is translucent to let the light through when hung in a window. There is 1 loop at the top and a ribbon going through, you can easily adjust the length of the ribbon.
The suncatcher comes in a organza bag and weighs 250g. The front of the panel is smooth and the back is textured.
For all of the decorations, the moulds are hand carved and the glass is slumped over the mould at temperatures over 800C for strength and durability.. Please be aware that due to the handmade process, each product is uniquely different so you can expect a slight variation in size, glass tint/colour and texture.
After completing his degree in Glass in 2002, Matthew worked for a large glass design company in London before setting up his own business in 2012. Matthew designs and makes everything in his studio in Dorset, on the south coast of the UK, near the Jurassic Coast.
