Leader: Mandy Stead
Duration: Tuesday 10am to 12 noon
Venue: Coastal Craft Collective, 10 Marine Place, Seaton, Devon, EX12 2QL
We've had some requests for a regular, weekday social crochet & knitting group. Mandy is running these friendly sessions for 2 hours every other Tuesday morning (except Wednesday 30/11). We also welcome anyone who wants to bring another craft along to do while enjoying the company of other crafters.
Come along for some company, a chat and to refresh and / or fine tune your crochet or knitting skills. Ideal for anyone who already has at least a basic level of crochet or knitting skill. It is not intended for complete beginners.
Learn how to get over those little niggles, get some tips from Mandy and maybe learn some new stitches / techniques.
The group is aimed at having some creative fun.
Our December sessions will include the opportunity to do some Christmas crochet! Choose from
- Festive hat for chocolate orange
- Festive coasters
- Festive snow flake
If you want to make one or more of these items, you can either bring your own yarn or buy it from Mandy for an additional cost. If you prefer to bring your own project as normal, that's completely fine.
We have a Crochet for Beginners class for those who want to learn. If you'd like to learn to knit, please let us know and we'll add a class when we have enough interest.
This workshop is intended for adults and older children, we suggest age 14+. Younger children by arrangement only - please contact us if you would like to bring a younger person so we can discuss it with you.
Mandy has found doing crafts and being creative such a lot of fun. And a thirst for learning keeps her enjoying the new. She feels the real winner is learning to overcome those times when things don't go according to plan. That's when exciting things can happen and creativity comes alive. She loves sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm and seeing the inspiration which comes from group work.
