You will learn how to use the printing blocks, two colour techniques and pattern repeats.
Jayne supplies the wood blocks, textile and acrylic paints and a selection of papers.
If you have any plain fabric or paper items you would like to decorate, e.g. cushion covers, pencil cases, purses, please bring them with you. Jayne will be able to advise if they are suitable for printing. We have tote bags, scarves, cushion covers and T-shirts available for you to buy at a small additional cost.
If you would like to print your own fabric and then use it to make a lampshade, you could combine this class with Jayne's Lampshade Making session . It often follows in the afternoon after this class. Jayne will provide you with the fabric to print.
In addition to paper to practice your designs on, the workshop price includes printing 4 cards and a sheet or wrapping paper.
We suggest you wear an apron or old clothes in case of splashes from the paints.

Jayne is happy to run her sessions with 2 people or more. If only one place is booked, we will cancel the session. If this happens, we'll offer the person who has booked the class a place on an alternative day, a credit for another workshop or a full refund, whichever they prefer.

I am a textile designer working from my small studio in Dorset, with a passion for fabrics both vintage and new. I am particularly interested in producing designs with Cyanotypes and using Indian wooden printing blocks to design, dye, print and produce
