Leader: Becky Lewis, Amazing Craft
Duration: 9.30am to 5pm
Venue: Coastal Craft Collective, 10 Marine Place, Seaton, Devon, EX12 2QL
Sew Symphony Angel, an elegant fabric angel with wings who looks fantastic topping a Christmas tree and, equally, makes a fabulous playmate for a child.
During the day, you will be guided through the process to make your angel, who wears a pretty outfit and stands 36cm tall. Your angel will be mainly sewn by machine (with some hand finishing) and the course provides all the materials you need plus a re-useable pattern and a 14 page, comprehensive instruction booklet
Symphony angel is made from calico and she is dressed in a gorgeous gold and cream dress and wears pink knickers, pretty felt shoes and wings that are adorned with gold thread, gold sequins and gold coloured beads. The beautiful gold ribbon that ties around her waist has been designed so she can be easily attached to the top of a Christmas Tree, no matter how big or small. Equally, by leaving out the sequins and metal beads, Symphony would make a beautiful and safe playmate for a child and the pattern can also be easily adapted to make a Tooth Fairy!
What to bring: you will need a sewing machine (with a bobbin) All threads and materials will be provided.
You may have time to completely finish your angel but, if not, you will have everything (including the step-by-step instruction booklet & the know-how) on how to complete her at home.
