Learn the beautiful art of silk painting with this beginner-friendly workshop. It's suitable for all ages and so perfect as a family activity! During this fun class you will learn how to use silk inks, how water and other materials affect them.
Your teacher, Sue, will guide you from start to finish as you relax and unwind with the calming process of silk painting.
You can choose from a variety of easy templates. Start with an example piece to practice on, followed by completing your chosen picture from a selection available. It can be made into a card on the day or taken home to frame.
All materials are provided, including coloured inks, an outlined silk to experiment with and your chosen silk picture to take home. Silk painting is an accessible and fun process, be prepared to allow the dyes to flow and enjoy the vibrant colours.
The class is for adults and children age 8+. Children from 8 to 11 should be accompanied by an adult. Children age 12+ can be left without a parent or guardian - although it is a lovely activity for families and friends to do together!
Sue is happy to run her sessions with 2 people or more. If only one place is booked, we will cancel this session. If this happens, we’ll offer that person a place on an alternative day, a credit for another workshop or a full refund, whichever they prefer.
