Paper embossing, also known as Parchment craft, is the art of embellishing and decorating parchment paper (or vellum paper) through the use of techniques such as embossing, perforating, stippling, cutting and colouring.
Historians believe that parchment craft originated as an art form in Europe during the 15th or 16th century amongst Catholic communities, where lace-like items such as devotional pictures and communion cards were created.
In this session you will learn simple techniques to create delicate looking designs for special Christmas cards.
This workshop is suitable for beginners. All materials included.
Monica Weber-Butler is a popular and experienced art & craft teacher who enjoys helping people develop their creative skills.

Directions to Eclectic Studio: The studio is 25 yards up Church Hill (the first corridor on the left, between the trees and the sub-station generator). Church Hill is the narrow pedestrian road between St. Michael's Church and the Mariners Hall.
