Paint pouring, also known as liquid or fluid art, uses acrylic paint along with a paint medium that encourages your paint to develop circular cells which create abstract masterpieces by letting the paint pigment basically run amok. There are endless creative possibilities thanks to a number of techniques which aid the process which we will explore throughout the workshop.
Paint pouring isn’t difficult which makes it suitable for all ages. It is, however, extremely messy. So please make sure that you wear old clothes.
We do have aprons and we also have some old shirts that can be worn over your clothes. However if you have your own decorating aprons/overalls at home please feel free to bring them with you.
We will do our best to keep the mess to a minimum but the very definition of the craft is that you effectively make a creative mess!🙂
You will be paint pouring on to a number of canvases and at the end you will also be mopping up some of your ‘creative mess’ with paper to minimise waste. This will give you extra media which you can put to use at home at a later date. We do like to reduce, reuse and recycle wherever possible!
