Leader: Maggie Pratt
Duration: Wednesday 2 to 5pm
Venue: Coastal Craft Collective, 10 Marine Place, Seaton, Devon, EX12 2QL
This workshop is a combination of needle felting and wet felting.
Learn two techniques in one workshop! Make a needle felted queen bee with wire legs and antennae and acetate wings. Then wet felt a delicate, lacy flower which will be stiffened and weighted to stay in position. You can choose which colour flower you want to make.
Please wear clothing that is not dark - fibres can cling! Maggie finds short or three-quarter length sleeves or ones that can be rolled up easiest to work with.
The cost includes the materials you need, coffee and tea or soft drinks.
This workshop is intended for adults and older children, we suggest age 14+. If you have a 10 to 13 year old child who wants to take part, we're happy for them to do so as long as you do the workshop with them.
Maggie is a former graphic designer. Her love of crafts began when her mum and grandma taught her to knit, sew and crochet. She's been creating things ever since.
She says - "I love needle felting, especially that magic moment when something appears out of a ball of fluff! I am a member of the International Feltmakers Association and have won prizes at local shows for my work."
If you prefer to craft at home, or want to follow up on what you've learnt, we have a range of Needle Felting Kits
