Pyrography - "the art of designing with fire" which involves using a heated implement to burn designs on natural materials such as wood and leather.
This workshop is aimed at adults aged sixteen years and over and will concentrate on using the art of Pyrography on wood.
You do not need to be skilled at art or design to do this craft. There will a number of designs available for you to use or you can create your own. For those of you who lack confidence with drawing you will be shown how to transfer your chosen design on to wood using a variety of simple methods.
There will be a selection of wood blanks varying in size from which you can chose. Depending on the size you will be able to decorate at least one item - possibly three or four if you go for the smaller sized items.
All materials and tea / coffee / squash and biscuits included.
